I`m back in submitting som of the Aurora Borealis aka the Northern Lights pictures that i have left to share with you all dA Friends and Watchers after a nice Summer holiday
This was shot in Norway in Bodø at the fields of Festvåg close to a local fjord named Mistfjorden. Mistfjorden lies between Kjerringøy (Island) to the right in the picture and the Mjellefjellene (mountains) to the left of the picture
The picture was shot at the 14th February 2011 at 22:32PM This was a cold day with sun and clear sky the whole day ! So we knew that Festvåg was going to be the right place to see this awesome show !
This was the day that we saw the realy awesome show ! The lights and colours with the movement was just perfect ! A lot of pictures was shot this evening / night !
I think that this was the first time i saw active extreme auroras since maybe 10 years ago ! Also my interest for photography is bringing me closer to this phenomen !
Well technical about this picture is that it was shot with direct moonlight , therefor all the blue colour on the sky The shutter was at 20 seconds so some lines got wiped out, because of the intence movement of the auroras !
Please see [link] for more of my Northern Lights pictures
Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous, and I'd love to be using them as my desktop background, but the watermark and the disabled download prevents this
Thank you very much ! well i can`t allow them to get spread all over the network either way their marked for my credits of being out there shooting them
Awesome aurora borealis photographs
I'll edit the G+ post later to also link to your gallery as well then ^_^
