Norway, Bodoe, Northern side of town !

Me and my friend Gaute where going out to try to take star trails pictures ! When we arrived at the northern side of town, there where weak lines of Northern Lights and some rays. The lights was red in the tops and the weak green colours below !
A solar wind was predicted to hit this night, but we had watched the data and nothing seem to happen :/ Anyway the plan was, if the lights get really strong we focus on them !
To much Northern Lights in star trail pictures doesn`t make any good i mean. After about an hour the lights got even more active then suddenly long rays on top of what was weak auroras. So I checked my camera and ran up in front and got this picture !

Just as the show started at blaze all over us ! The vibrant part of the show lasted for 15-20 minutes probably, but the weak lights peaked several times through our 4 hours out

Made pictures at 3 locations, the Northern Side ( this picture ) And finally some new pictures of the island Kjerringøy with nice reflections in the sea

Also made some new shots of strong lines low over the island Landegode, with reds above !

Yesterday night 9-10/2 we where out again, made a star trails picture ! We saw a 4 minute show of the lights

so got some weak lights in the right of that picture. Kind of strange to be out focusing on star trails and then the Northern Lights go more active again

But we kept focus on the star trails ^^
