From that awesome evening/night of 22 - 23 / 1 - 2012

This was from the beginning of a long chase and photographing of this phenomen !

I haven`t got to submit that much at deviantART the last months like last year, cause i`ve got a lot of other things going on and my network is bad..., but i`ll try to do 1 to 2 pictures every week

There`s also some drawing time going !

Right now im looking through pictures from January to April of the Northern Lights !

It's a good year for taking pictures of the northern lights. There has been a lot of solar activity this year. Nice shot by the way!

So lucky! I want to see the Northern lights so bad! I live in New York State so we don't get them sadly.

What is the frequency of occurrence of Northern Lights, on average : once a week, or once a month, or "it depends" ??

depends on weahter ! It would be visible allmost every night during the dark time

But in weak lines, if there haven`t bin any great CME`s from the sun (solar winds that`s going to strike the magnetic field of the earth)

Good news. I really feel like going to Tromsø next winter, and wait...
Tromsø is large enough a town to spend a few days, even in 24 hours darkness.
