This evening / night I shot my first pictures of the Northern Lights since 27th of April !

So it`s back again !
I just figured out that i needed some fresh air and the sky was clear with stars. Aurora activity was none, but i brought my camera and tripod

At the first it was all covered in clouds... but after awhile it opend up the sky just clouds around it ! A giant hole in the clouds with stars and parts of the milkyway

A weak line of auroras slowly came into sight, and then like nothing (as allways from nowhere^^) It was a little kick of a vibrant show of rays and lines with the Northern Lights !

Started photographing again

Then suddenly... out of nowhere ! A sharp flash of white light lit up the parking spot around me. I was surprised !
Some few seconds after that flashy light a sound of thunder could be heard from the distance. The thin clouds actually spread the lights from a thunderstorm, that where miles away !

And it was up again ! A new white flash of bright light !
Then i saw where it was comming from, just at the coast of Bodø out where "Glomfjord" is, where the storm.
I stopped photographing the Northern Lights, and looked for a thunderbolt ! And like a flash again ! the whole coast turned white for a glimpse of a split second !
The thunderbolt must have lit up a altitude of 2 kilometres ! and a distance of 5 miles of clouds !

Well what a night to start photographing ! having the need for some fresh air as i sayd
